With the support of several popular groups, was created in Barquisimeto a regional hub of the National Front for the Defense of Water and Life. People and awareness organizations, schools of thought Yacambu, Cabudare militants with the support of the Movement Around the Conuco (Trujillo) and CRAM (Maracay), after sharing information related to the threat of coal mining in the Sierra de Perija promoted by the state and transnational corporations, decided to promote regional activities of the front.
