When Will The Chevy Tahoe Change

Easter saved many human lives ...

Fr José María Vegas cmf, published weekly feedback to the gospel on Sunday. On their website you can find other articles that will help us to reflect events against vivivimos daily.
The article that he "hung" and referring to the abortion debate, belongs to the Missionary, PhD in Philosophy from St. Petersburg State University in Russia, now lives and works in that country along with other missionaries Claretian. He teaches ethics and philosophy at the diocesan seminary.
From St. Petersburg on the right to live
In April 2008, in St. Petersburg, Faculty of Pediatrics, State University were invited by a Catholic priest and doctor of philosophy, a priest grecocatólico and a law degree, an Orthodox priest and medical doctor and surgeon in practice, and a lay Catholic, married with two children and a degree in theology, to speak to fifth grade students about the Christian foundations of bioethics. Something is changing in this country, a pioneer in pro-abortion legislation and now discovers the disastrous consequences (moral, eugenic, demographic and women) of almost secular policy. In no place like in Russia can be seen the enormous damage that an openly pro-abortion mentality occurs in social and family life, human relationships, the ability to love and, in general, the psychology of people, especially women, main victims of this mindset, then of course, human beings did not see the light. Living
"komunalkas" collective story in which every family had one room, unable to lead a normal sexual life because of lack of intimate spaces, with no means antoconceptivos or appropriate sex education, abortion became for the vast majority in a contraceptive method usual, plus half also prophylactic daily. Here people, mostly women, were victims of a policy and an atrocious education. Not to mention the feeling of emptiness, the feeling of "not being a beloved person" (someone who no one needs "as they say here) that corrodes the inside to those who know they are children of a woman (with the collaboration and sometimes, the pressure of a man, lest we forget) that aborted several times before parirles them. Then try to say that God is love and that is Father. Even many believers, practitioners and psychological barriers are huge assets to accept these truths elementary and leave a chronic state of depression almost.
Well, is perceived in this country that, despite many problems and difficulties, it is embarking on a path back to a culture of life. This position not only can speak freely, but will be open public forums, as mentioned above, doctoral theses are written on moral philosophy to address this issue and are posters in the hospitals where they warned of the serious psychological and physical risks women who undergo an abortion.
All this, and what happened in April 2008 at the Faculty of pediatrics at St. Petersburg is something today, unthinkable in our country where official committees of experts on these serious issues are only the voice of his master. It is truly frightening lack of democratic culture of our Spain, where these issues as very serious are not subject to public debate, much less missing more popular consultation, a referendum. Propaganda Oficial (which is reduced to that information) say they want to "extend rights" as if governments could be drawn from the hat new rights, and, above all, forgetting that rights are powers in only one direction social context of reciprocity, which opposes the corresponding duties. Demand rights without assuming responsibilities is the principle of despotism in which some will say reducing others to mere instrumental means. Did not we agree that human rights are universal and inalienable? Now it seems that they are gifts granted to those who cross a certain threshold of time or do not disturb our personal plans. Let us be clear: if in the face of a newborn is absurd display rights, since there are only duties and responsibilities, how much more if we speak of the unborn.
While some undertake work your way back, others remain committed to "progress" toward the end of a civilization based on human rights and the duties they generate. Unfortunately, the perverse effects of this policy reckless and sophistical beginning to experience the next two or three generations. And we could save the watching those who have already made that trip and are back, but are still paying the consequences of the previous round (anywhere).
So from my vantage point and my Russian experience, I can not see without pain and worry as he steals a serious debate on this serious problem (more serious than the economic crisis that both absorbs our attention) and how to systematically silence voices that deal with great sense of civic duty to oppose the claim bill.
From here, I want to get my voice, knowing it will sound weak and distant second to encourage initiatives (such as the March for Life next March 29) that can ultimately help save many lives, perhaps those in the future help from the art, science, politics or religion, to make the world a better, more just and fraternal. José M.
